2004 Junior State Title, July 16-18.
It is with great honour that we invite you to be part of Griffith Kart Club history. July 16th to 18th will be the 2004 Junior State Titles. Established in 1975, our club is rich in history, but now with our newly extended track we move into a new and exciting future, and we want you to help take us there. So join us for an event you'll never forget.
Situated 10km from the CBD, the Griffith kart track is one of the newest extended tracks in NSW, having recently been completed in July 2003. Situated along the Kidman Highway within close proximily to many major inland cities, we are within easy travelling distance from a majority of clubs. We provide a new challenge to karters giving everyone an equal starting point. With everyone being on the same level we feel that it will test the real driving ability of competitors. This we know will create tough, competitive and exciting racing for all involved.
Running in a clockwise direction, the newly laid Hot Mix track is 850 metres in length and 8 metres in width. Featuring many overtaking opportunities throughout the circuit, we have designed a track to create a mixture of fast flowing & slow corners, making it a real challenge for drivers. As a club we are very family oriented, so at the Junior State Titles we will be providing various facilities to keep all of the family amused. Some features are; a shuttle bus into town at regular intervals to give families a chance to shop and explore the town; and tours of Griffith taking in the main attractions, agricultural and cultural. Souvenirs will also be available to purchase. But our best feature by far is the fantastic nail-biting racing that we invite you to be part of!!
Griffith boasts a wide range of accommodation to suit every budget, from caravan parks to 5 Star motels. With over 25 places to choose from we guarantee there is something for everyone. All are located within the Griffith area and are easy to find. More details can be found on the Accommodation page.
We also feature a large number of restaurants, cafe's, bistro's and clubs for you to choose from. And as this is a family weekend we also have the kids' favourites, Macdonalds, Kentucky Fried, Eagle Boys and Pizza Hut.
Thursday 15th July will feature free Shopper Shuttle's from the track to Griffith and return, leaving at 10am, 1pm and 3pm. Shop till you drop!
